Malaysia’s Superdough Expands NOVUS ESCAPE ROOM,

Its Global Footprint with U.S. Franchise in Texas

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 October 2025Superdough, the Malaysian experiential family entertainment company best known for its innovative brands, including BREAKOUT escape rooms, HAUNTU immersive horror experience, and Spy Game, proudly announced its latest global milestone: the opening of a new U.S. outlet under the NOVUS ESCAPE ROOM brand, part of the Breakout franchise, at Opportunity Central (OC), Forney, Texas.

This landmark development is more than just a franchise launch; it represents how Malaysian creativity is shaping global family entertainment trends. Superdough, which began in Kuala Lumpur with a single mission to deliver “Always Fun Experiences”, is now exporting Malaysian design, storytelling, and innovation to audiences across Asia, the Middle East and North America, with its second U.S. outlet opening after Delaware.

We are proud to see a Malaysian-born brand making waves internationally,” said Johnny Ong, CEO of Superdough. This U.S. expansion is proof that creativity from Malaysia can resonate globally. While we grow overseas, we are equally committed to bringing new experiences back home, starting with our flagship Spy Game Junior in Kuala Lumpur. This is our way of showing the world that Malaysia is not just a consumer of entertainment, but also a creator and exporter of it.

Spanning about 6,200 square feet, the new Novus Texas outlet features six immersive escape rooms: The Missing Case, Testament of Tesla, Chamber of Hocus, Wonderland, Section 13, and Capsule. Within just one month of soft launch, the outlet has already drawn more than 400 players to experience the adventures.

Education Meets Immersive Experience

What makes this Texas expansion distinctive is its collaboration with the Forney Independent School District (ISD). In the U.S., an “independent school district” is a public education system with significant autonomy, responsible for administering programs from elementary through high school, including career and technical education.

Forney ISD’s Opportunity Central (OC) campus is a multi-purpose learning hub that integrates career training, college preparation, and community development. Students are not only learning in classrooms but also actively participating in real-world industry projects. Superdough’s Novus became OC’s first immersive entertainment partner, fully operated by students who manage customer service, game mastering, marketing, and business operations.

This model transforms the escape room into a “living classroom,” equipping students with practical skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, and business management.

Superdough’s Growing Brand Universe

Over the past decade, Superdough has grown from a single outlet in Kuala Lumpur into a global family entertainment innovator with multiple brands:

BREAKOUT (NOVUS in the US) – A pioneering escape room concept blending puzzles with narrative-driven immersion.

HAUNTU – Malaysia’s first immersive horror theatre, merging live acting with walk-through cinematic storytelling.

SPY GAME – Mission-based game with live actors.

SPY GAME Junior - Interactive experiences for families and youth, designed with high replay value and educational elements.

Looking ahead to 2026, Superdough is preparing an ambitious expansion roadmap that includes:

-Launching Spy Game Junior and four new Breakout theme rooms in Brossard, Canada

-Opening a new flagship Spy Game Junior in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

With operations spanning Asia, North America, and the Middle East, Superdough continues to fly the Malaysian flag high as a leader in immersive entertainment.
